Duties and Responsibilities: A Radiation Therapist works with a operate machines called linear accelerators, which are used to deliver radiation therapy. The  machines direct high-energy x rays at specific cancer cells in a patient's body, shrinking or removing them. So the person that is a Radiation Therapist help cancer patients with their cancer cells.

Education: You must have a high school diploma or equivalent with two years of math and two years of lab science. And must submit to a drug screening and criminal background check and show proof of current immunizations. And some schools might ask for a letters of recommendation. And you are going to need associate's degree and bachelor's degree programs. The length of the program varies by level of study. Certificate programs take a year, while associate's degree programs require two years of study. Bachelor's degree programs take four years to complete. And last Obtain Licensure and Certification.
