 Memorial Day

1. Memorial Day is a day on which those who died in active military service are remembered, traditionally observed on May 30 but now officially observed on the last Monday in May.
2.  Monday, May 30
3. Some ways to show respect is…..
Be part of your community
Purchase a poppy from a VFW member
Donate to a charity that supports our military in ways our government doesn’t.
Volunteer
4.
5. I did not know that Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, is a day of remembrance for those who have died in service of the United States of America. Over two dozen cities and towns claim to be the birthplace of Memorial Day. While Waterloo N.Y. was officially declared the birthplace of Memorial Day by President Lyndon Johnson in May 1966, it’s difficult to prove conclusively the origins of the day.
6. I will go and try to volunteer and help other people and i am going to also stay home and be with my family.
7.  What i think about Memorial Day is that it’s a good day to take and truly  respect the people who fought for us to gives us freedom.

Eight Great Reasons to Tell the Truth
  • Barbara A. Lewis

  1. Telling the truth lets everyone know what really happened. There’s less chance of misunderstanding, confusion, or conflict.
  2. Telling the truth protects innocent people from being blamed or punished
  3. Telling the truth allows everyone to learn from what happened
  4. You usually get into less trouble for telling the truth other than lying (and getting caught.)
  5. Other people trust you more when you tell the truth
  6. You don’t have to tell (and remember) more lies to keep your story straight
  7. You gain a reputation for being truthful - a trait most people value
  8. Telling the truth helps you to feel secure and peaceful inside.

Reflection: what i think this means is that you should always tell the truth because you would not have to worry about remembering all the other lies you have told or to whom you told them to. Telling the truth gets you out in truble as well as the people around you. And telling the truth lets you have a good reputation like people will trust you more and they will want to be around you.

It’s good to have goals no matter if they are good or bad but it’s better if you have the correct goals because everything else you want to accomplish will come to you slowly.

Student Success Statement
                      Phillip Riggs’ Four Success tips

  1. Work Hard
  2. Follow your passions Do things you are interested in doing
  3. Don’t chase after money
  4. Serve others. Do good things for others, and good things will come to you.
What this is trying to say is that you have to work hard for what you want in life and do what makes you happy like work for something that you really want don’t work for something you don’t like to do because in the end you are only going to do it because you are only going to get paid and don’t chase after money because there is no point of chasing after money if you are doing something you love it’s not going to feel like you are even working and do good things for others good things are going to happen to you. This is amazing statement to live by because everyday we have to work hard and do something but working hard for what you want and you are doing the right thing you are going to make it far in life and are going to know what you want because you are working hard for something want to do for the rest of your life.

“You knew what i was when you picked me up.”

The said that The man was trying to prove that he is a man and the snake represents something bad in life what i mean by that is in the video the snake told the guy it's cold on top of the mountain can he pick him up and take him down and the guy said not that he knows that the snake will bite him and when he does he could die and the snake says not i am not like that i will not bite you so the guy was thinking about it and then he said okay so picks up the snake and takes him down and the snake does not keep his promise and bites him. The snake can be like a drug you know it’s bad for you but it’s telling you that it won’t hurt you and in the end it hurts you.
      The Right Thing

“In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing.”- Theodore Roosevelt

What this quote is saying is that it does not matter in what situation you are in or what you are going through the best decision is to do the right thing all the time. For example, to copy and paste from someone else work because if you do it by yourself you are doing the right thing because you made a good decision to do the work all by yourself. If you do the right thing it benefits you later on in life. You should always do the right thing and make good decisions all the time.

                              Nothing

"Nothing is ever gained in doing what's wrong"- Wilford Woodruff

What this quote is saying is that you never  gaine annything when you do somwthing wrong. For example, if you go to medical shool and you cheated your whole school year like in all of your test and evething else you don't gaine anything because once you graduate and it's time for you to do what you learned in medical school to a person like sugery or like telling them whats going on in there body you will not know anything because you cheated on what you had to leran. Another thing is that you are only hurting yourself if you do something wrong in anything it could be cheating on a test or not fllowing the rules and more because after doing all that cheating and braking all of the rules what do you gaine from that and it's nothing. So nothing will never be gained when or doing what's wrong always do something right for you can gain something like you can learn new things or do things.

                 Topic of your Choice

                     Fashion Designer

What I think about Fashion Design is that it's amazing how people has changed their styles over the years like in the 1700's there wearied big puffy dresses and it was amazingly designed like all the flowers or pearls and they color of fabric the texture was amazing sowed and put together. And in the 1800's still kind of the something but the dresses are less puffy and they were more bright and the hats stared coming in style and the umbrellas were used more to make there outfit complete. In the 2000's you stop seeing all the puffy dress and now you see like more hipster clothes and girls are wearing skirts and short shirts with tennis shoes not high heels. Fashion is a trend that will never go away because it's always going to come back like the big puffy dress most girls use them for their sweet16 or when they are turning 15 because it shows elegance just like it showed elegance in the 1700's and the 1800's and more. It is just amzing how anyone can design any typ of clothing and it can change in how we all dress over the years and maybe in a cople of years from now the fashion can change again. And FAshion changes every were like in India, China, Egland, France and all over the world and we can just go back and see how they use to dress annd it can be amzing to dress like that and just make it happen again.
