Japa is a island country in East Asia. Kanji that makes up Japan's name means "the sun orgin" and Japan is offten calleed the "Land of the Rising Sun". Japan's population of 126 million and 9.1 million people live in Tokyo and that Tokyo is the capital of Japan. From the Meiji Restoration until the end of World War II, the full title of Japan was Dai Nippon Teikoku (大日本帝國^?), meaning "the Empire of Great Japan". But today that name Nippon-koku is used as a formal modern-day equivalent; countries like Japan whose long form does not contain a descriptive designation are generally given a name appended by the character koku thats meaning "country","Nation",or "state". japan art has a singnificnt infulance on moderan art in the west there music.I choosed this place becuse there music and art and how it got its name intrest me.
